Negative space is basically the minimalist art of doing absolutely nothing with a background until it secretly forms a brilliant second picture, and nobody flexes this visual trick harder than London-based illustrator Noma Bar. He has cranked out over 550 mind-bending graphics, authored two books on the subject, and slapped his clever illusions on over a hundred magazine covers for big shots like The Economist and BBC. The guy even snagged a D&AD Yellow Pencil, which is essentially an Oscar for design nerds. Picking his absolute best work from such a massive pile is like trying to pick a favorite child, but we did the heavy lifting anyway to bring you this curated list of his slickest visual mic drops.
